My name is John Dunaway and I have twenty five years teaching experience in levels ranging from Middle School to Community College. Thank you for visiting my Web Site. You will find tabs along the top row to help direct you to information that may be helpful. I spent the first twenty years teaching Algebra and then I moved to computers and business classes in middle school. I love seeing students learn and create. My class is mostly project based, meaning students should be actively working on a project and they learn new skills to apply. If you were to walk into my classroom, my hope would be that students would be working independently and I would be moving around assisting students with questions.
Recently, my sons and I began working on live-edge wood projects, creating end tables, coffee tables, benches and small tables to turn into gaming tables, serving trays or additional space for your office desk. Please feel free to take a look at some of our past projects and other projects that are currently for sale. I am married and have two children. My beautiful wife's name is Susan and she recently opened her private practice using Neurofeedback and Play Therapy in Overland Park.
Neurofeedback is a painless and powerful tool that helps the brain learn how to regulate itself. It works to help the brain rewire itself by creating new pathways, showing the brain how it is operating so that, through practice, it can operate differently. Think of it as physical therapy for your brain, effectively treating symptoms related to ADHD, loss and trauma, anxiety and depression improving academic performance and social skills without medication.
