Welcome to the Careers Class Web Page
Careers class is an exciting hour of the day where students are able to investigate themselves and immerse their time in career path opportunities and learn skills to help them be successful in upper level school. To summarize the semester, students will consider the questions:
Who Am I? (How do my strengths and growth areas relate to career skills)
Where Have We Been? (How has US History shaped the trends of careers)
Where Are We? (What are current career trends, salaries and needs)
Where Are We Going? (What are future careers that could exist that we haven't thought of? And how do I prepare for it?)

GUEST SPEAKERS WE NEED YOU!!
One of my old baseball coaches used to tell me: "In order to run faster, you have to run faster." He would make us sprint down hill and attach us to bungie cords connected to vests and make us run to the point of tipping over forward - and often we did! The lesson I learned is that immersion experience is the most powerful teacher. (We really learned what we had to do to get faster!)
We need you, or anyone you know to come in and share your life and career experiences to bring those opportunities to our students - to immerse them with advice based on your experiences. Consider the question: "Who do I know that I would want to influence my child toward a positive career path?" Then, forward this website to a person in the community that you think would be a powerful voice to our students - and ask them to consider filling out the form below.
